1. How do you define an innovation cluster?
Much has been written about innovation clusters, usually based on empirical studies. The aim of this chapter is not to present them. However, we have identified three key definitions in this field.
According to Hamdouch (2008 ), an innovation cluster corresponds to "a set of organizations and institutions, defined by their nature and location, which interact formally or informally through various inter-organizational and inter-individual networks, and which contribute to the realization of innovation in a given field of activity, i.e. in a field defined by specific fields of knowledge, skills and technologies".
These innovation clusters offer services to project leaders (entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs) by facilitating meetings with all players in the value chain.
